Welcome to the new 2011 Outdoor Season ( Updated 21/5/11)


Club and District Handbooks are now available don’t forget to collect your own.


Pre Season Meeting
– This took place on Wednesday 20th with a great turnout of members old and new. Captain, Tony Raisborough welcomed everybody and outlined details of friendlies and games for the year. Andrew Brown explained the changes to Friday night club night when all that turn up can play. First night will be Friday 6th May so come along and join in. Barrie Crowe, Chairman of Selectors pointed out the listed availability sheets and asked members to tick off. Maureen Pond highlighted important dates for the ladies and our President, Margaret Camp welcomed all old and new to the forthcoming season.

CMBL - There are some changes to the Falcon Club handbook
Tuesday 24th May-the listed CMBL B team game against Chelmsford B will now be on the 16th August.
Tuesday 31st May CMBL B and CMBL C will be AWAY and not at home as printed and the reverse fixture on the 19th July will be at home and not away.

Selection
- Access to the team news on the website can be gained by logging into the Falcon Website and clicking the outdoor button, then linking to the Outdoor Team News button

The Green
- There is an update from Graham, our green keeper, on the notice board. He is making good progress and the green will be open for play on Sunday 1st May.

Fixed Jack Competition- This will take place on Sunday 1st May. Get your name on the sheet displayed in the club for this opening event.

Martin King -Following a work accident Martin is still in Broomfield Hospital but is making some progress, though he will be out of bowling for some time. A card is being sent from the outdoor club wishing Martin well, and we hope to see him back on the green sometime in the future.

Finally, don’t forget to notify Ian Muir (i.muir@btinternet.com) of any news you wish published. Include such things as competition successes and results, and any up and coming events you wish publicised.
