"Congratulations to all those who bowled in the Essex Summer Indoor Inter-Club League. This is a Triples competition played amongst six clubs (Falcon, Havering, Jacks, Essex County, Colchester and Tye Green), two rinks at home and two rinks away. Last year Falcon won convincingly with a game in hand. This year the opposition was more intense and it wasn't until the last round that Falcon ran out as winners, this time by just 4½ points. Well done to all who played in our teams and an especial thank you to Val Weeks, who has organised everything so well in this and previous years, ensuring that we could always put out a decent team, despite all the problems she faced. So for another year the trophy will be displayed in our cabinet! Let's hope that next summer we can retain it."
