Falcon Ladies win National Mason Trophy at Nottingham
NATIONAL MASON TROPHY
What an amazing season this has been for Falcon Ladies. Little did we expect back in October that at the end of our journey in the National Mason Trophy that we would triumph as winners, beating Egham in the final by 39 shots to 33.
To reach this goal ,as well as the team that played in the finals at Nottingham on Monday, Shirley Beavis, Sue Harrington, Sue Jones, Adele Long, Debbie Sales, Carol Saville, Lin Watkins and Chrissy Watts, we were supported by our England President Pauline Adams, Tina Howard, and Jan Walker along the way.
This journey took us through 8 matches, Tilbury, Falcon B team, Essex County, Colchester, Gallow, Northampton and finally, Cumbria (sweet revenge for knocking us out of the Yetton Trophy in the quarter-final) and Egham, before we could hold the Trophy high. With nearly 8 hours of bowling and only an hour’s break, we were weary, but elated. Well done ladies, an incredible achievement and one that Falcon can be proud of.
